I do not use ChatGPT or similar in any part of my creative process. My writing is an integral part of who I am. It is my art and my art of living, my calling, my identity. Delegating any part of my art to ChatGPT or similar will amount to me losing my very reason for being.

I also do not use Midjourney or similar to generate images for this website. If you’re wondering, the background images are collages of elements from photographs I’ve taken over the years. I created the collages in Preview.

I will do my best to prevent my work from being associated with AI-generated images, translations, and audio recordings. I support human translators, artists, editors, and narrators. However, at this stage of my career, I cannot afford to walk away from contracts. I don’t have the leverage of a best-selling author, but what I can promise is that I’ll try, whenever possible, to negotiate contract clauses that ensure publishers don’t rely on AI for editing or translating my work, creating cover images for it, or creating audio narrations of it.
