Information I collect

your email address and any optional information you provide when subscribing to my newsletter;

newsletter engagement information, such as whether an email was opened or a link clicked, if this tracking is enabled in SendFox.

My newsletter is sent through SendFox. It may include updates on projects and new publications, links to fiction and music I enjoy, thoughts, and occasional excerpts.

I send the newsletter only where you have actively subscribed and confirmed your subscription through a double opt-in process. The legal basis for this processing is your consent.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email or by contacting me. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

How and why I use your information

I use WordPress.com, operated by Automattic, to host and operate this website, and SendFox to manage and send my newsletter. These providers may process limited personal and technical information on my behalf.

WordPress.com states that personal data may be stored on servers in both the European Union and the United States. SendFox may also process data outside the UK, European Economic Area, or Switzerland.

Retention
